Crowell led off the thrid with a double and came home on Franco's sacrifice fly.  The Golden Eagles found themselves up, 4-0.

The Broncos attempted to climb back into the game as, with two outs in the top of the fourth, firstbaseman Terry Mermer homered to left, cutting the Golden Eagle lead in half.  The game would remain 4-2 until the bottom of the seventh.

In Cal State L.A.'s half of the seventh, Roche tripled to right and came around to score on a throwing error by CPP secondbaseman Kevin Falls.

Arturo Reyes came on in relief of Owsley in the ninth and closed the game, earning his first save of the season.
